The WAEC and WA Deaf Society have produced an Auslan video to help electors with voting in this year's State general election using iVote. Also introduced for the first time is assisted voting at some polling places.

Two ordinary polling places will have Auslan interpreters:

and one drive-in polling place:

Online and phone voting now open for those who need it

Registration and voting in the 2017 State general election is now open for iVote. iVote allows you to cast your vote in secret and from any location using the internet or a touch tone telephone.

You are eligible to use iVote if you would normally need assistance to vote or visit a polling place. This includes people with insufficient literacy skills, who are blind or vision-impaired or are otherwise incapacitated.

Using iVote is a simple, three-step process:

Voting at the airport and outside of WA

If you are heading interstate or overseas during the 2017 State General Election, there are a number of convenient early voting options to make sure you can cast your vote. Many early voting centres are open until Friday 10 March.

Visitors to the Perth Airport can vote any time between 4.00 am and 5.00 pm Monday to Friday at early voting centres located at Terminals 1, 2 and 3. FIFO workers can also vote early as they depart from or return to Cobham Aviation Services and Skippers Aviation at times aligned with their flights.
