Local government election report

A summary of results and participation at all elections managed by the WAEC at the 2017 local government ordinary elections is available on the local government elections reports page.

The report includes an alphabetical listing of all local governments for which the Commission conducted the election, providing the total votes recorded by all candidates contesting each ballot.

For all postal elections conducted, the report includes interesting statistical summaries covering such matters as elector participation by gender or age cohort, candidate demographics and variations between metropolitan and country districts.

For example, it can be seen that the Shire of Mount Marshall topped the participation rates with a wonderful 83.7%, while the City of Fremantle recorded the highest Perth metropolitan area participation rate with 50.8%.
