Independent audit of technology assisted voting

Under section 99F of the Electoral Act 1907 the results of any audit into the deployment of technology assisted voting is to be published on the Commission’s website following the close of polling.

The audit of the iVote system of voting deployed at the March 2017 State general election has now been completed by the independent auditor, Dr Richard Adams.

The auditor is satisfied that the iVote system used at the March election operated in accordance with the Approved Procedures and that the integrity of the system and all associated votes cast was maintained.

Dr Adams’ concluded that the output of the iVote system was a true record of the votes input into that system.
