The next State general election will take place on Saturday 11 March 2017.
The period for candidates to nominate will open with the issue of the election writs on Wednesday 1 February and close at 12.00 noon, Friday 10 February.
To vote at the election Western Australian citizens must enrol before the close of rolls at 6.00 pm, Thursday 9 February. You can check your enrolment status on the Enrol tab on the home page.
Early voting by post or in person commences on Monday 20 February. From this date, electors who are vision impaired, have a disability or low literacy skills or who are otherwise incapacitated, meaning they are unable to cast their vote without assistance, will be able to vote online using a computer or touch tone telephone. Registration for this service opens on Monday 13 February.
