Media Release Date
Friday, 15 June, 2018

With a week still to go before Election Day, over 2400 electors have already voted in the Darling Range By-election.

“This reflects a continuation in the popularity of early voting for State elections”, Electoral Commissioner David Kerslake said today.

Almost all of those votes have been issued at the early vote locations in Roleystone and Byford.

Mr Kerslake advised electors that early voting closes at 6.00pm on Friday 22 June 2018.

Electors can vote early in person in the Darling Range district at Roleystone Hall or at Byford Village Shopping Centre, or in the Perth CBD at the Commission's office at Level 2, 111 St Georges Terrace until Friday 22 June at 6.00pm.

Postal vote applications must be received by 6.00pm on Wednesday 20 June 2018 and can be lodged through the Commission’s website www.elections.wa.gov.au.

Further information including Election Day polling places is also available on the website or by calling the election helpline on 13 63 06.

Mr Kerslake reminded Darling Range electors that voting in the by-election is compulsory.
