The nomination period for the 19 October 2019 local government ordinary elections opens today, Thursday 5 September.
Persons interested in standing for one of the 90 local governments for whom the Commission is running the election, are recommended to use Nomination Builder.
While the nomination form and candidate profile can be completed online, you must lodge your nomination with the Returning Officer in person.
All prospective candidates are reminded that they must now complete the mandatory online induction module available at www.dlgsc.wa.gov.au before they can nominate.
To be valid, nominations must be received and accepted by the Returning Officer for your local government district by 4.00pm Thursday 12 September at the latest.
