Cottesloe by-election - Still time to vote early

With just under a week to go before Election Day, over 1500 electors have already voted in the Cottesloe by-election.

“This reflects a continuation in the popularity of early voting for State elections”, Electoral Commissioner David Kerslake said today.

Almost all of those votes have been issued at an early vote ‘pop up’ location in Cottesloe’s Eric Street Shopping Centre.

Mr Kerslake advised electors that early voting closes at 6.00 pm on Friday 16 March 2018.

Postal vote applications must be received by 6.00 pm on Wednesday 14 March 2018 and can be lodged via the Postal Vote Application page. All ballot papers must be posted back to the Commission by 6.00pm on Saturday 17 March 2018 and must be received before 9.00am on Thursday 22 March 2018.

Further information including other early voting locations and Election Day polling places, is also available on the Cottesloe by-election page or by calling the election helpline on 13 63 06.

Mr Kerslake reminded Cottesloe electors that voting in the by-election is compulsory.
